Family Based Interpersonal Psychotherapy

Dr Laura Dietz is a Clinical and Developmental Psychologist working at the University of Pittsburgh. She has developed, manualised and tested the efficacy of FB -IPT for depressed pre-school adolescents for the past 10 years.

FB-IPT focuses on the family environment a a primary source of interpersonal stress for depressed preadolescents and provides skills and strategies to both the preteen and parent to improve interpersonal communication and problem solving. These events will outline the developmental modifications, sturcture, and clinical strategies for conducting FB-IPT
