Description

As part of the ongoing support of the independent reviewers who commit their knowledge, time and energy to the Care Treatment Review process (CTR), the National Development Team for Inclusion are hosting a day for reviewers to explore how you can develop your resilience to manage any strong or emotional feelings you may have after attending a CTR.

To lead us through this day, we are delighted to have Dene Donalds at the helm, who through this offering of top tips, experiential learning, research and signposting to helpful resources to improve your resilience, in this introduction on how you can build personal and collective resilience, that can improve your personal and professional performance.

The aim of the day is that participants will leave with an appreciation of the importance of developing individual and collective mindfulness-based resilience for themselves, colleagues and the people they provide a service to. With new ideas, practical exercises and information to use after the training.

About Dene Donalds. RNLD, MBA

Since 2003 Dene has been offering practical mindfulness based wellbeing programmes to groups and individuals including; People with learning disabilities their families and workforce; Experts by Experience wishing to develop greater resilience and prisoners and staff within Her Majesty's Prisons

His past work includes, offering mindfulness programmes to the workforce of Mersey Care NHS Trust and leading the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Mindfully Valuing People Now Project.

Dene also works as a Zen Teacher in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh and as a Buddhist Chaplain within Prisons and NHS high secure settings, offering support to people of many religions and none.

We will be starting at 10, with refreshments offered from 9:30 and finishing around 4.

Lunch and tea and coffee are included.

This event has a maximum of 30 spaces and needs a minimum of 18 participants to go ahead. We are really excited about this event, so please do make please be sure to sign up soon to book your place.

As with other training, experts by experience can claim £75 to take part in the day, we are unable to offer payment for clinical reviews.
