About this event

Food & Drink • Food

A playful, sensory workshop for children and parents from Join the Chocolution. One welcoming hour to taste, touch, smell, see and imagine — together

What you’ll do

  • Taste with all your senses: guided chocolate moments that spark curiosity and conversation.
  • Rotate through hands-on stations: simple activities that show how cocoa becomes chocolate.
  • Discover nature’s role: how place, climate, trees and tiny creatures shape flavour.
  • Meet a cocoa farmer in person: hear a first-hand story from a cocoa-growing community and ask your own questions.
  • Share the fun: calm pacing, clear guidance, and space for every child to join in.
  • (Activities may vary slightly on the day — and may include a short outdoor element if the weather is kind.)

Why it’s special

  • A rare, real-world connection: you’ll meet someone who actually grows the cocoa that becomes chocolate.
  • Memories that last: a joyful, screen-free hour families talk about all week.
  • Chocolate that means more: an easy, positive introduction to responsible chocolate and the people behind it.

What you’ll take away

  • New flavour words and simple tasting skills.
  • A fresh way of seeing chocolate — from tree to table.
  • Children leave as proud Chocolate Explorers.

Tickets

  • Single ticket: £12 per person (adult or child).
  • Family bundle: £30 for 1 adult + 2 children.
  • Younger siblings not taking part: free, no ticket needed (must stay with their adult).
  • Supervision: this is not a drop-off session — a parent/guardian stays and joins in throughout.
