Come to Code Club!
Do you have a favourite computer game? Would you like to learn how to make your own computer games? At Hinckley Library Code Club families can learn how to make cool games and animations together!
Code Club is a nationwide network of free volunteer-led after school coding clubs for children aged 9-11. Children and their parent or guardian are invited to join trained volunteers at Hinckley Library to learn how to program interactive stories, games and animations together using Scratch programming language. There will also be a chance to have fun with Makey Makey devices and BBC Microbits during the final session on Tuesday 4th April.
Hinckley Library's Code Club will take place weekly on Tuesday afternoons between 4.00pm - 5.00pm. The club will start from Tuesday 21st February 2017 and will run for 7 weeks during term time until Tuesday 4th April.
Family Code Club is all about families learning together with children learning new skills and having fun with support from their parent or guardian. Children must be accompanied by an adult and adults are encouraged to take part in the club with their child. Everyone signed up to Code Club is encouraged to attend all 7 sessions to fully benefit from taking part in all the projects we will be doing together over the full seven weeks.
