How does it work?

In group constellations, one person sits as the 'issue holder', with a challenge or block that they wish to overcome. After an initial conversation held with the facilitator and a series of questions that help to reveal the potential 'entry point' of the constellation, the facilitator guides the issue holder to choose others from the group to 'represent' particular parts of their system; which can include living family members, ancestors, internal aspects of themselves, or much broader elements: like a country; a sacred archetype (eg Mother Mary); or even The Source of Life itself. The experiences of the representatives as they stand in their respective roles reveal hidden dynamics and unresolved areas of 'stuckness'; which hold the key to resolving the problem the issue holder faces.

In a mysterious way, representatives usually find that the role they are asked to hold resonates strongly with something they are facing in their own lives, or have lived through (such as a particular career path, or dynamics with members of their own family). In this way, they also receive insight and healing through their participation.

The constellation is carefully guided to a place of resolution, or a place that holds the possibility for a 'new beginning', using a combination of 'systemic sentences' spoken by the representatives, and shifts in position that allow for life to flow more freely once more.

Do I need any experience of Family Constellations or other healing modes to participate?

No. Family Constellations work is open to people of all backgrounds and doesn't require a particular area of knowledge or experience to participate.
