These courses are provided free for Derbyshire (UK) residents, you will need to provide a valid Derbyshire based home address.

About this event

Parents and carers together with children age 5 and above who would like create butterfly clips to decorate their home.

Approximate course length:

One 1.5 Hour Session

This course is for:

Parents and carers together with children age 5

The course will cover:

The course will cover:

• Making and decorate a card butterfly

• decorating the butterfly centre

• Ideas and inspiration for different patterns and shapes

This course will be delivered remotely via Zoom so you will be part of a live class, with a tutor, but with everyone doing the lessons at their own home.

There are no exams or formal assessments.

There will be chance to ask questions and put what you have learned into practice.

Work outside of sessions:

This is not required, though we hope you will want to put what you have learned into practice.

Additional costs and what to prepare:

This course is offered free of charge.

You will need either a smart phone, tablet, laptop or other computer with internet access to do the course via a link you will be sent.

You will need a pen and paper, laptop or tablet so that you can make your own notes. Handouts may be provided.

You will need these materials for each butterfly during the session:

Piece of card (approx. 8x 13cm

Scissors to cut the card

A wooden hinged clothes peg

a pipe cleaner

felt tip pens

PVA glue

Optional: paint & paint brush, washi tape

You may wish to progress to other family learning sessions such as Family Garden Fairies Collage or Adult craft classes such as Art - Colour Mixing using oils or acrylics, or try something really different with our Virtual Lambing Experience!
