Event description

Description

Join ceramist Jill Holland and create your own decorative impression into clay.

Staff from Plymouth Museums Galleries Archives will also be on hand to explain the important discoveries made by William Cookworthy, founder of Plymouth Porcelain.

Jill will explain some of the techniques that are involved when working with porcelain whilst encouraging children and older people to work together to make their own masterpiece.

Recommended for children aged 4 years to 16 years. This is a dementia friendly workshop. Ramp and lift access available.

£3.50 per child (accompanying adult free). Booking is essential.

This event is part of #Cookworthy250, our celebration of the 250th anniversary of William Cookworthy obtaining a patent for the production of hard paste porcelain in England and establishing a factory in Plymouth.
