Event description

Description

Join Lucy Rockcliffe from Artstorm for a fun, hands-on workshop using air dried porcelain clay.

Create small thumb pots which you will then transform into teacups and saucers.

Roll out some clay to imprint designs on and make a small sculpture or figurine.

Staff from Plymouth Museums Galleries Archives will also be on hand with images from our collections to help explain the important discoveries made by William Cookworthy, founder of Plymouth Porcelain.

Recommended for children aged 4 years to 16 years. This is a dementia friendly workshop. Ramp and lift access available.

£3.50 per child (accompanying adult goes free).

This event is part of #Cookworthy250, our celebration of the 250th anniversary of William Cookworthy obtaining a patent for the production of hard paste porcelain in England and establishing a factory in Plymouth.
