About this event

Newnham is unique amongst Cambridge Colleges in discussing contemporary issues affecting families.

Each October we host a lively forum where everyone can explore complex topics and learn from experts in specific fields (as well as from each other). We encourage an atmosphere of inclusivity and welcome alumnae and their guests to join us.

This year’s Family Forum focusses on girls who are on the autism spectrum and how they navigate a neurotypical world, as well how we can celebrate neurodiversity in all its forms.

There will be 3 short talks by our invited speakers and then a two course lunch with coffee in the College Hall, followed by a Q&A.

We would love to see as many of you in person as possible, however if you are unable to attend in person and would like to watch a livestream of the talks please select that ticket option.

Our Speakers

We will be joined by autism campaigner Carly Jones MBE FRSA, Julie Bailey (NC 1990), and Steph Curtis, writer of the blog Steph’s Two Girls, to discuss these modern challenges.
