This is a shorter and family friendly version of our behind the scenes tours. We will uncover the Castle's secret spaces and items of collection that are not normally on display to the public. We'll be opening up the secret trapdoors and cupboards as well showcasing some of our lesser known items of collection. Discover how we look after the castle over winter and the ongoing conservation work to look after the collection.

We'll have a trail for the children to complete as they explore the castle, all ages are welcome.

P lease note, this tour covers 6 floors of the castle using steep spiral staircases. Sturdy flat footwear is recommended.Assistance dogs only inside the castle.

This tour is shorter and goes at a faster pace than the regular length. We'll also be completing a children's trail as we explore.
