What's the difference between the regular and family friendly behind the scenes tours?

The family friendly version still follows the same route around the castle as the regular tour. The guide will only cover the basic history and the children will have chance to complete a trail as they explore the castle. We'll still be showing some of our secret spaces and trapdoors.

Can I attend this tour without children?

Yes but this tour is tailored to children. There will be limited time for questions and the guide will only be providing the basic history to keep the runtime shorter for our younger visitors. We also hold more detailed behind the scenes tours which are much more in depth, see separate event.
