Overview

Join us this half term and showcase your artistic skills by learning how to code a VR Robot to draw using VEX!

Our saturday coding club has moved for half term!

Showcase your artistic skills by coding the VR Robot to draw a house. Using what we found out from the last session, we will explore how we can use the pen tool and the loops function to draw shapes and even draw a house!

This is the first of our half term coding clubs, the other will be on Wednesday 25 February AT 10.30am. Both workshops will have the same subject and content so please book the one that works best for you and your half term dates.

We’ll be using the free VEXCode website that is available on iPads, Android devices, and laptops.

The workshop is held online via Zoom with an accredited trainer and a member of staff from the Family Fund team.

Please note:

  • As we are a UK-based charity, this workshop is intended for families who are living in the UK.
  • This is a friendly, informal workshop intended for families caring for a disabled or seriously ill child or young person. Siblings are welcome.
  • You’ll need to have a device to access the internet to take part in the workshop activities.
  • To keep your device free to use during the workshop, you will need to join the Zoom call on another device, such as a smartphone or laptop.
