About this event

Family & Education • Parenting

The move from teenager to adult requires careful planning. Parents and carers may be wondering how their young person’s benefits may be affected. This workshop can help you plan for the changes to your child’s finances by using online services.

Please note: As we are a UK-based charity, this workshop is intended for parents and carers who are living in the UK. The benefits information provided in this session is specific to UK residents.

We will look at the various organisations that should be involved in supporting your young person as they transition into adult services. We’ll also talk about where you can go for help, and who’s available to provide support.

This extended session will allow extra time at the end for families to share their experiences, tips and suggestions with each other, to help navigate this complicated transition. You’re welcome to stay on for this, or drop off if needed.

If you have a question about the workshop, please contact servicesinbox@familyfund.org.uk .
