Welcome to the Family Matters Autism and Girls workshop.

This online workshop on Autism and Girls will be delivered by Autism speaker, trainer and consultant Amanda Hind.

This session is aimed at parents of autistic secondary aged girls in Richmond and Hounslow boroughs and will explore how autistic girls can present differently to boys, difficulties they may experience, and what they need to be understood and supported well.

About Amanda Hind

Amanda has a unique perspective of autism as she is late-diagnosed autistic, her children (young adults) are autistic, she specialises in teaching autistic children, and she is an autism researcher. She is a highly experienced teacher; having taught in mainstream primary and secondary schools and specialist provisions for almost 20 years. She is also a qualified SENCo.

Amanda is particularly interested in the experiences of autistic women and girls, especially those who received a late diagnosis.
