About this event

Saturday 23rd August

Green sketching is an art movement that is helping to make the incredible benefits of sketching nature (which include mental wellbeing, nature connection, improved memory, focus and observation) accessible to all ages and abilities and we are delighted to bring this new opportunity to Far Ings. This workshop will be led by Louise Earnshaw a Lincolnshire based artist and green sketching ambassador. This workshop will enable your family to emerge themselves in the beautiful surroundings of the reserve alongside learning skills and techniques that can be used over and over to benefit from slowing down in nature and observing it’s beauty. All specialist materials are provided and you and your child will be given a mini sketchbook to take home and continue your green sketching journey.

Please book on to either our morning or afternoon session.

Organized by

A Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve, Far Ings is situated on the south bank of the Humber Estuary, a major east-west flyway for migrating birds. The sight and sound of a skein of geese flying over is truly spectacular.

Events at Far Ings include guided walks, indoor talks, Wildlife Watch (our nature club for 6-12 year old's), Junior Wardens (an introduction to conservation for young teens), pond dipping, nature trails and much more.
