Explore the fascinating creatures that call the Thanet coast their home. Learn to identify local wildlife and how to handle creatures safely. We will be rockpooling for approximately one hour, then we will carry out a short beach clean together.
Meeting Point: 4pm at the Walpole Bay Tidal Pool

Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear that you do not mind getting wet - we will be walking on slippery, potentially jagged rocks.
Covered shoes are essential for the Beach Clean.
Please book one ticket per attendee, including adults.
Equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
You do not need to stay for the full session, but please arrive at the start to hear the safety briefing.
All children must be accompanied by an adult for the whole session.
In the event of thunder and lightning, or very high winds, the event will be cancelled.
About the area and Parking
There is now only parking on the roads at the top of the cliffs - so participants are advised to park on roads at the top of the cliff (not the lower promenade). Temporary toilets are present, with others further away (The Oval, & private cafe). There are no Lifeguards on this beach. The beach is a dogs on a lead friendly beach.
