Family & Systemic Constellations Day
Overview
Full Day of Family / Systemic Constellations
with Katie Despres
Sat 14th March 2026
10:00am – 5:30pm
Clifton, Bristol
This full-day workshop offers a spacious, well-held container for deeper personal work, shared exploration, and learning through direct experience.
The day is designed to allow approximately four to five constellations to unfold, alongside time for preparation, reflection, and integration. It is suitable both for people new to constellation work and for those with previous experience.
This day can be attended as a standalone workshop, or as Day Two of a two-day Systemic Constellations experience in Bristol, following the Introduction to Systemic Constellations training on Day One.
What is Family / Systemic Constellations?
Family or Systemic Constellations is an experiential therapeutic approach developed by Bert Hellinger. It is based on the understanding that unresolved experiences in our family history do not simply disappear. Instead, they may be carried forward across generations as unconscious loyalties, emotional burdens, symptoms, or repeating patterns in relationships, work, health, or life direction.
As Bruce Hoffman writes,
“The body is the final resting place of all your experiences. But not just your own. The body also carries the untold stories of those who came before.”
In constellation work, these hidden dynamics are made visible through an embodied, relational process. Group members are invited to act as representatives, creating a living map of a system. What is usually unconscious becomes felt and visible, allowing new understanding, movement, and resolution to emerge.
How the Day Will Run
The day will begin with a short guided meditation and grounding practice, supporting everyone to arrive, settle, and connect with themselves and the group.
Before any constellation work begins, we will spend time with simple group exercises and practising representation. This helps everyone understand how constellation work functions, build embodied awareness, and feel more confident participating, especially if the work is new to you.
From there, we will move into constellation work, allowing time to prepare each constellation carefully and to pause and integrate between pieces of work.
The day will close with a grounding and integration practice, supporting you to leave steady, resourced, and supported.
Constellations and Participation
Two Guaranteed Issue Holder places are available
In addition to these, there will be space for a further two to three constellations to arise during the day. Participants will be invited to put issues forward, and constellations will be selected in response to what is present in the group and the wider field.
Not everyone who puts an issue forward will necessarily have their own constellation. What is important to know is that every role within the day is meaningful, and many people leave feeling that the work spoke directly to their own situation, regardless of the role they took.
The Role of the Representative
Participating as a representative is not a lesser role. It is a central and powerful part of constellation work.
Representing is not roleplay. It is a somatic, embodied process, and many people experience their most significant insight or movement while representing within other people’s constellations. It is very common for participants to come as representatives and leave feeling that the day addressed something deeply personal.
Experience Level
No previous experience of constellation work is required.
Clear guidance is offered throughout the day, and you are always welcome to step back, pause, or participate in the way that feels right for you.
Two-Day Option in Bristol
This Full Day of Family/Systemic Constellations can be attended on its own, or combined with the one-day Introduction to Systemic Constellations training ( 13th March) to form a two-day experience in Bristol.
Day One offers a grounded understanding of systemic principles and patterns across personal and professional life.
Day Two offers the opportunity to integrate that understanding through direct constellation practice.
Many people choose to attend both days to allow time for understanding, experience, and integration within a supportive container.

Some people attend the full day and then continue with the monthly circle as a way to stay connected to the work over time.
