Think ‘Crystal Maze meets Task Master’, and you’ll get a taste of what to expect from this workshop. From brain games to 3D puzzles, physical challenges to creative skills, code cracking to ciphers, there’s something for everyone.

Your family will work as a team through a set of 4 experiential activities, helping you discover energisers, limits, boundaries, strengths, values and needs, both as a family and individually. You’ll walk away feeling connected, like you’ve had fun and with clarity on how you want to live your lives together as a family.

You may be thinking “Ah, but we know the values our family live by”! This may be true in terms of how you act, but if you were asked to name them on the spot, would your family be able to, and would you name the same ones? There is power in spending time together working this out, and doing it in a safe, fun and connected way.

In fact, writing about your family values is one of the most effective psychological interventions ever studied. Agreeing, writing and living by your family values, makes you feel more loving, connected and empathetic towards each other.

It increases pain tolerance, enhances self-control, and reduces unhelpful rumination after a stressful experience. And who wouldn’t want all of this for their family!

In this workshop you will:

  • Complete a range of experiential and reflective activities, helping you to connect, have fun and find joy in time together as a family.
  • Build understanding about what energises and drains the energy of each member of the family.
  • Learn to use understanding around energy givers and takers to help balance out family duties.
  • Learn where each family member’s limits and boundaries are, and how we can respect these and set collect family limit/ boundaries collaboratively.
  • Learn about family strengths and how to play to each of them.
  • Decide collaboratively the values your family lives by now and in the future.
  • Build a deeper understanding of each family member’s unmet needs, and work together to find solutions on getting them met.
