Family Walk - Bankside

Join the Thames Discovery Programme for our first family walk exploring the foreshore at Bankside. Learn about the fascinating archaeology and history of the River Thames. This walk will allow families to explore the foreshore with one our archaeologists and uncover the changing face of the Thames in central London. The walk will last around 1 hour.
Please meet at the south entrance of Blackfriars station (signposted for the Globe and Tate Modern) at 11:30am. This walk is suitable for families but foreshore can be uneven and at times muddy so please bring sturdy walking boots or wellingtons. In case of inclement weather this walk may be postponed or cancelled. In the interests of health and safety only children aged 7 years old and above can come on TDP Family Walks and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
