Event description

Description

The witch tapped the broomstick and WHOOSH they were gone!

Join us this October for a Halloween special as we follow a witch and her friends on their precarious journey across country and into the path of a dragon! As ever we will explore yogic movement, breath and sound through storytelling, song and somatic movement.

Family Yoga is open to everyone – children, teens, mums, dads, grandparents and carers. And you do not need to be super fit, just attend with a willing spirit!

Yoga and mindfulness are great for children and families, as they offer a chance for imaginative discovery of self, collaboration with peers and family members, as well as non-competitive movement, dance, fun and laughter.

During the workshops you’ll enjoy:
- Energetic and exciting yoga activities to challenge everyone
- Partner work to encourage teamwork and bonding
- Breathing practices to calm the mind and body
- Rejuvenating relaxations and fun guided imagery
- Mindfulness activities involving creative art and craft, collaborative games and light hearted meditation.
- The enjoyment of learning together and spending time in each other’s company
- A feeling of calm and tranquillity, helping families to relax in each other’s presence.

You’ll all return home feeling rejuvenated; overflowing with love in your hearts, and a sparkle in your eyes!

We close each session with mindfulness craft related to the theme for that month's workshop.

..Information to help you plan your visit..

You can access a lift from St. Ann's Square to the 1st floor. Follow the corridor round to the right, past the toilets and to the gorgeous Front Room which overlooks the theatre and St. Ann's Square.

Morning sessions begin at 11:15am, this is in order to give families time to arrive and settle for the workshop once doors have opened at 11am.

Prams can be stored in the foyer before entering the Front Room (you can bring these all the way up in the glass elevator from St. Ann's Square)

We have tons of children's mats and around 20 adult mats, so to avoid being without a mat, bring yours along if you have one :)

Bring a blanket for relaxation
