Meet us at 8pm sharp at the entrance on Bowden Lane - please note that latecomers can't be admitted! There isn't much parking available on Bowden Lane, and residents may get upset if you park there. There is free parking on Keep Hill Road, or paid parking is available at the Rye. The nearest postcode is: HP11 1DL.

The Walk:

Join Ranger Tony as he delves into the mysterious world of bats in High Wycombe!

The walk will kick off with an introductory bat talk at Funges Meadow, where you'll separate bat facts from fiction. Then armed with bat detectors, you'll learn to scan the skies and identify various bat species, including common pipistrelles, soprano pipistrelles, and noctules. Ranger Tony will guide you through Funges Meadow, and Keep Hill, ending the journey on the Dyke at the Rye.

The walk covers a distance of 2-3 miles, mainly on flat ground, however part of the walk invovled navigating a steep slope and steps so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.

What to Bring:

Wear clothing suitable for the weather and sturdy footwear.
