About this event

  • 2 hours

An evening of music inspired by the night and performed by mood lighting. Though much of this music is dreamy and atmospheric, there will also be nightmares and fantasies. The programme begins with several of Chopin’s most celebrated nocturnes, before exploring other gems of the genre by Scriabin, Debussy, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Clara Schumann. Beethoven’s “Moonlight” Sonata concludes what promises to be a popular programme with finger-twisting fireworks.

Local pianist, Tom Hicks, is a professor of piano in the United States. He continues to perform internationally, is active as a recording artist, and was recently added to the roster of Yamaha Artists.
