Faraday Challenge at RAL: REGISTRATION OF INTEREST
Event Information
Description
The Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is pleased to be working with the IET to host a Faraday Challenge Day on Tuesday 10 January 2017.
Faraday Challenge Days are part of a nationwide scheme run by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. The one day STEM activity is designed for teams of six students in Year 8 (ages 12-13). The students will research, design and make prototype solutions to tough engineering problems. You can find more information on the Faraday Challenge website: http://faraday.theiet.org/stem-activity-days/faraday-challenge-days/
The winners of each event win prizes for themselves and a trophy for their school. The top three teams from across the UK will win an all-expenses paid trip to the National Final in June 2016, where they will compete for a cash prize of up to £1,000 for their school.
Many of our events are oversubscribed. Registration of interest will close on 31 October 2016, and then schools will be allocated places on a random basis. All schools will be contacted on 1 November 2016.
