FareShare in partnership with The Family Centre's Community Connect Project...

Are you a local Charity , not for profit organisation, afterschool school club, do you work with vulnerable people in Croydon ? Do you currently provide, or would like to provide food ?
If the answer is YES ! then The Family Centre, in Fieldway New Addington is pleased to be able invite you to an exciting presentation whereby their existing Community Connect project will be seeking to develop further by offering a Community Food Club initiative in partnership with FareShare.
This event will give you an overview of the opportunity to be eligible for a FareShare Community Food Club Membership, as well as the possibility of being able to refer local individuals for a Community Food Club Membership. This initiative is supported by Croydon Councils Gateway Services and will be delivered as part of the Community Connect project.
For those of you not familiar with FareShare they are a charity relieving food poverty and reducing food waste in the UK. FareShare do this by rescuing good quality surplus food that would otherwise have gone to waste and distributing it, in a cost-effective way, to over 2000 charity and community groups across the United Kingdom.
The presentation will take place on Friday 21st April 2017 at the Family Centre, Fieldway, New Addington, CR0 9AZ

From 1.30 - 3.00 Presentation and Q & A session
We will talk about the detail of what is being planned. The financial contributions we have received to date to make this happen .We will explain how you can get involved; whether that be through your organisation becoming a Community Food Club member or whether that be referring residents you work with to the project.
The event will showcase how it can provide a real difference to local organisations and residents who are most in need and at risk of food poverty. In addition it will demonstrate how we can generate the benefits of significant savings throughout our areas of service delivery. I hope you, or a suitable representative, will be able to join us to learn more about the benefits and possibilities it will bring to the Croydon community.
