Farmer/Designer Meetup

(Community Fringe Event Sustainable Fashion Week)

This meetup will be a friendly and supportive space for facilitating new connections between farmers and designers from South West England who are interested in creating fibres and fashion product from natural fibres and dyes sourced from the region. The aim is to foster collaborations that can help farmers diversify into fibre/fashion products and enable designers to work with regional resources.

Following the success of our Meetup series last year in collaboration with South East England Fibreshed and Centre for Sustainable Fashion, this is the first in a continuation series that South West England Fibreshed will be hosting in the South West this year.

The meetup conversations will draw on the beautifully illustrated Farming Fashion: Wool guide, launched by the SWE and SEE Fibresheds in 2024. Participants will have access to the guide at its printing cost of £5 + £2.70 postage. The orders can be placed on-line via the above link (Please use the code FFATCOST at checkout).

The evening will be co-hosted by Emma Hague and Liz Parker of SWE Fibreshed.

Refreshments and light bites will be provided.

Entry is on a donation basis according to a sliding scale - please read suggested donations and pay accordingly as we are operating this year with minimal funding.
