A FREE Panel Event to discuss the impact of Brexit on farming and food industry and environment

About this Event

Join us to participate in a Question Time style event with a panel of EXPERTS who can answer questions on Brexit with FACTS.

Phil Bennion, MEP for West Midlands, took over the family farm in Staffordshire after completing his PhD in crop science at Newcastle University in 1985. His farming enterprise includes arable crops, environmental stewardship, a biomass district heating scheme and accommodation and he served a stint as National Farmers’ Union County Chair in 1996.

Ellie Chowns, MEP for West Midlands, is a Lecturer at the University of Birmingham, specialising in International Development. She has spent 15 years working for international NGOs including VSO, Christian Aid and Concern Universal in the UK and Africa. Ellie serves as a Green Party councillor and leader of the Green Group on Herefordshire Council.

Doors open at 18:30 for a 19:00 start. Expected finish time is around 20:30.
