About this event

Business • Environment & Sustainability

Join the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, Propagate and National Farmers Union Scotland for a knowledge-sharing event looking at how farming can be good for both nature and improve farm resilience.

The event will be chaired by Dumfriesshire farmer and former NFUS President Andrew McCornick. We will be joined by speakers from the farming community in Ayrshire and further afield.

You can look forward to a day of presentations and discussion looking at farm resilience and nature-friendly farming. We will have a speed round to hear what farmers are doing on their farms, and longer conversation about how to make a living farming in a way that’s good for the environment and the farm business, and break-out sessions on agroforestry, resilient dairy and vegetable production.

The conference will take place between 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, with time afterwards for socialising and networking.

Tea/coffee/biscuits/sandwiches will be provided.

Please book tickets according to your farming interest (farmer/agencies).
