A guided expert journey for businesses and consumers talking about modern slavery, materials and packaging. Businesses will learn how to design a more transparent future for the fashion world and consumers how to review and screen their fashion purchases choices.

‘Many people believe that slavery ended hundreds years ago. Sadly there are more slaves today then even before in human history. IJM is the largest anti- slavery organization in the world. In addition to her work at IJM, Laurel undertaking a master’s degree at King’s College London where she has been researching the impact of the UK Modern Slavery Act on future corporate accountability legislation in the U.K.’

"Stylist and creative director, Alice is co-founder of A Novel Approach agency, providing creative direction for ethical fashion brands including Fashion Revolution and Birdsong. Most recently Alice has been appearing on BBC TV and Radio as a Sustainable Fashion Expert.Alice is also a fashion activist and spokes person for Extinction Rebellion’s Boycott Fashion initiative and teaches the Sustainable Fashion short course at Central St Martins. Her sustainable styling has appeared in The Telegraph, Metro and Vogue and for numerous global brands."

Seven Sessions

Our sessions are speaker led events run in a Series of Seven. Summer 19 will focus on Sustainability & the Environment.

Hearing from people who are passionate about our planet and in their unique way taking active steps to confront the sustainability crisis. Our expert speakers will share actions that will inspire us with a positive approach and improve our present and future lives & businesses

We will hear from boundary breaking people who are doing incredible things for Sustainability & the Environment. Looking at 7 topics including Environment & Activism, Sustainable Business, Sustainable Fashion, Green Tech, Environmental Media & Art and the Sustainable Food Chain.

It will take place at the Curtain Hotel in Shoreditch www.thecurtain.com

After the session we will all stay on to chat & share with fellow 7Sessioners where drinks will be available from the bar. Food will be available separately from the hotel restaurant.
