Description

Sarabande is delighted to be working with Fashion Revolution during Fashion Revolution Week with two talks exploring transparency and sustainable initiatives within the industry.

Tuesday 24 April

19.00 - 21.00

On Fashion Revolution Day we welcome a panel of experts who will be exploring the topic of transparency within the fashion industry and the Fashion Revolution Week initiative - 'Why Transparency Matters.' With co-founder and Creative Director of Fashion Revolution, Orsola de Castro, speaking with Emily Tilden-Smith from global leading law firm Baker McKenzie and Alisha Miranda from the Not My Style app, this talk will touch upon the rising consumer demand for transparency around workers rights, the UK Modern Slavery act and what new brands need to look out for when developing their stance on sustainability.

Doors open at 19.00 Ketel One Vodka cocktails, talk begins at 19.30.

Thursday 26 April

19.00 - 21.00

Join us with Tamsin Blanchard for a discussion with Katie Roberts-Wood and John Alexander Skelton of Sarabande Studios as they discuss their 'slow-fashion' practises - brands that work as an antithesis to the mass-production of the fashion industry, where the designers hand has touched each garment and pieces are made to be kept. Recently featured with Sarabande in the FT Weekend Magazine, both designers will also display pieces from their most recent collections for audiences to view.

Doors open at 19.00 Ketel One Vodka cocktails, talk begins at 19.30.
