At a time when the fashion industry is transforming apace - from retail to marketing - Caroline Rush CBE, CEO of the British Fashion Council, sits right at the heart of it. Having transformed London Fashion Week and The Fashion Awards, she most recently launched Positive Fashion. The scheme works to ensure that the British fashion industry creates positive change in terms of diversity, equality and inclusivity; ethics and sustainability; local manufacturing and craft.

Join us for an evening where we discuss the now and next of the industry, the future of fashion week and just what makes the UK such a leading light of creativity and innovation.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Caroline Rush CBE has been the Chief Executive Officer of the British Fashion Council since 2009. She is an expert in purpose driven strategy and reputation management. She developed and leads a team that has transformed London Fashion Week and The Fashion Awards, created the strongest talent support pathway globally for emerging talent and in line with strategy has established the UK as leaders in creativity, innovation and business best practice.

Key programmes over the last 10 years include establishing the Vogue and GQ Menswear Fund, the BFC Fashion Trust Charity, increasing the funding for scholarships and education, quantifying the Value of Fashion to the UK and establishing international partnerships from fashion councils to media, retailers, sponsors, investors, tech and professional services providers.

Key moments from the past 10 years include delivering major projects for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad, being part of the team advising on the role of fashion in the opening and closing ceremonies, the launch of London Fashion Week Men’s, the launch of the QE11 Award for Design by the Queen at London Fashion Week and launching Positive Fashion which continues to be a major focus of the British Fashion Council, working to ensure that the British fashion industry creates positive change in terms of diversity, equality and inclusivity; ethics and sustainability; local manufacturing and craft.
