About this event
One third of food is wasted globally. We are currently producing enough for 10 billion people but failing to make use of it. The cost for the environment is severe - if food waste was a country it would be the third biggest emitter of carbon dioxide. How do we make fighting food waste profitable? Join us if you want to learn about setting up a business to fight food waste from a panel of entrepreneurs tackling the issue from different angles and asking how can we tap into this $1 trillion opportunity.
Fast Forward 2030 is a progressive network of transformative entrepreneurs hosted by the Institute for Global Prosperity (IGP) at University College London. The network exists to tackle the causes and consequences of environmental degradation, economic inequality and social injustice. We encourage enterprises that challenge the status quo and deliver sustainability and prosperity for all. There is great power in business for change and we harness it with the tenacity and determination of activists.
