What’s it about?

Canva needs little fanfare … it is probably the best free design tool for non-designers, ever!

In this Fast Skills Friday session, we’ll be putting Canva through its paces to create images that leap out on social media, animated clips, YouTube thumbnails and more.

This hands-on session will focus on tools available with a free Canva account, so will not delve deeply into the AI tools available with a Pro account.

With tips to help you work smarter with Canva, get ready to find out why it’s used by so many creators. The session will showcase Canva in a laptop browser, but the learning translates easily to Canva’s excellent free mobile app.

Who’s it for?

Anyone who needs a simple way to design something, from Instagram Stories, to charts, to book covers. You may be new to Canva or a basic user looking to improve.

What equipment will I need?

A laptop or desktop computer with reliable internet connection and access to Zoom. Participants should create a free account at canva.com before the training, if they don’t already have one. Optional: Download the free Canva app for iOS or Android.
