Father Christmas will be visiting Castle Fraser this Christmas for a wholesome Santa Experience.

Write your letter to Father Christmas and post it to the North Pole, before visiting his festive grotto inside the traditionally decorated castle to tell him your Christmas wishes. The grotto visit is exclusive to just your group and there's chance to explore the castle decorated for Christmas afterwards.

Adults attend free with a child ticket, admission tickets to the castle are not required to visit Father Christmas. Car parking £5, National Trust for Scotland members park for free. Child tickets include a visit to Father Christmas and a gift.

Father Christmas will be located up one flight of steps inside the main castle.

Are the grotto sessions mixed or exclusive to my group/party?

The grotto sessions are 1 to 1 with Father Christmas and exclusive to just the members of your group.

Do you offer a relaxed session?

As our grotto experience is just for your group we can tailor the experience such as adjusting the lighting and noise level. We can also offer a quiet space to wait or alternatively can collect you from the car when Father Christmas is ready. Please just get in touch to castlefraser@nts.org.uk

Can I bring my dog?

As the grotto is located inside the main castle, this event is assistance dogs only.

Where is the grotto located?

The grotto is inside the castle in the Peacock Parlour which is accessed by one flight of stairs. Please head to the castle's front door on arrival and you will be directed by a staff member.
