Bible Teaching for Women by Women

Fathom is open to any women wanting to engage with God's word. At these events, we have a commitment to teaching from the bible, and seeing how it applies to our lives in a relaxed environment. This time, we're glad to invite Rachel Chard who will speak on the topic of True Contentment. Rachel with her husband Andrew spent fourteen years in Tanzania as pioneer church planters. Since then she's been working with Friends International, and her current role involves supporting outreach to international students from 'hard to reach' countries.

On the topic of True Contentment, Rachel writes:

From every direction we are told that contentment will be found in "living our best life". Apparently, this includes the 'truth' that we can do anything at all if we believe in ourselves, the 'promise' that we can - should? - have bodies that radically defy the ageing process, and the 'reassurance' that nobody has the right to tell us what to do.

Well I can't, I don't, and I do want some guidance and guidelines please!

Discontentment can strike all of us and even consume us if we listen to the world and its 'prince'. As women who belong to the Lord, how does being in Christ help us listen to the voice of God rather than to the voice of the world and the enemy? Let's look together!
