Join our Big Swap for inclusive exclusives with Fashion Business Retail @ Joseph Wright - have the opportunity to rehome loved garments and shop second hand in person. 

A powerful, student-led event combining sustainability and vintage, trending items. Expect an elaborate array of clothing to suit all peoples aesthetical desires. 

Lets reshape and reclaim fashion - for people and the planet

Join us Fri 24th October at 3pm for an immersive and exciting experience to improve your wardrobe whilst simultaneously doing your bit for the planet. 

The Logistics

Check in 3:00 - 4:00 

Bring your items in trade for tokens, these tokens will then be used to purchase your new, preloved items.

Event 4:30-6:00

You can bring and take away up to 10 items (1 token per accepted item): clothing, shoes and accessories that are in great condition - sorry we can’t accept nightwear, underwear or jewellery 

The venue & area 

Electric Daisy is a trendy, exciting venue hosting some of the most exciting events in Derby. 

Inside the venue, we will have sheltered seating areas for you to relax throughout your swapping experience. There will be a pizza van and a bar inside the event, serving fresh food and drinks  for you to enjoy whilst you browse. There will also be a live DJ performing throughout the event - they are a part of the music department within Joseph Wright and we are excited for them to perform during The Big Swap. 

Left over items 

Any left over items at the end of the event are donated to the charity White Rose for them to resale in their stores supporting work to raise awareness, build peace and prevent genocide. 

The Big Swap is all about making sustainability exciting and inclusive for all. We aim to include all sizes, aesthetics and fashion interests within the swap. As a college, we are focused on making our love for fashion beneficial to the environment and more ethical as an industry.
