2 WEEK COURSE TO START YOUR OWN PASSION PROJECT ACCESSIBLE WORLDWIDE

About this event

*PLEASE NOTE - The course started Monday 26th, so if you are purchasing a ticket after this date you will have access to the recording of the session.

Do you want to create something of your own? Launch a passion project you’ve always talked about? Grow a side hustle to give you creative freedom and another stream of income? Or are you looking to change directions completely and could benefit from guidance in the right direction?

Join our 'Side Hustle School’ programme to learn everything you need to grow, develop and launch a passion project of your own. Whether it’s to cut through the increasingly competitive job market or to set up a new future for yourself, this is a 2 week virtual course to help you build your own side hustle.

* Tickets include 4 live workshops across 2 weeks to grow your side hustle, activities to complete in your own time, and an extra social media workshop where we provide our strategic recommendations for using Pinterest, The Dots, Linkedin and Eventbrite. Workshops will be hosted live 1-2.30pm on the 26th and 28th July and 2nd and 4th August. All sessions will be recorded and available to rewatch.

----

Led by the founder and author of F*ck Being Humble, Stefanie Sword-Williams will host 2 workshops a week sharing her experience of starting her own passion project, how to build out your own idea, how to create a distinctive proposition and how to build a marketing and a launch plan (see breakdown below). In three years of running F*ck Being Humble as a passion project / now full time business, Stef has secured a book deal, been named Forbes 30 Under 30 in Europe 2020, created branded content, built a list of global clients and delivered workshops to thousands of people around the world.

Additionally, tickets include an extra workshop from Stef on how to utilise the following platforms when building a side hustle.

- How use Pinterest to grow, develop and market your idea

- How share your work and build a community on The Dots

- How to use LinkedIn to build your profile online

- How to attract, promote and create events on Eventbrite

As part of the programme you will be added to a private member's Facebook group where you can connect with like-minded people, join live sessions, ask questions, network and watch all of the workshops and interviews curated from this programme in your own time.

-----

COURSE BREAK DOWN:

- 4 x 1.5 hour workshop with Stef including live Q&A to answer your burning questions

- Activity sheets after each workshop to grow your idea each week in your own time

- Presentation from Stef on how to use Linkedin, Pinterest, The Dots and Eventbrite

WORKSHOP ONE: RESEARCH AND IDEATION

In the first week, we'll explore how to choose a passion project that will suit your skills, interests and positively add to your reputation. Stef will share her learnings from starting her own side hustle as well as giving practical prompts that will help develop your idea over the course.

WORKSHOP TWO: CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

In the second week, we will delve into the market research and identify opportunities for each idea to identify a clear point of difference. From understanding your audience interests, to building a brand that emotionally connects with people, we’ll aim to solidify the concept into a proposition people can engage with.

WORKSHOP THREE: MARKETING AND CONTENT

The third week will help each member with planning out a marketing strategy that will get their concept noticed. During this session we will explore the content planning process, the best channels to use, how to work with influencers and how to start a movement people want to connect with.

WORKSHOP FOUR: LAUNCHING THE CONCEPT

The final week of training will guide members on how to launch the concept into the market, from perfecting your elevator pitch, gaining coverage, and creating a proposal document, you will leave with the knowledge on how to activate your idea.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN:

  • To find a space to identify your niche and develop a passion project that demonstrates your relevant skills
  • Gain creative and commercial confidence to launch your own idea
  • To connect and network with like-mind creatives on the programme and learn from key industry contacts for guidance
  • To improve your reputation and stand-out for future employment opportunities
