Foundation Degree (FdA) in Integrative Counselling

Validated by the University of Worcester and BACP-Accredited, our Foundation (FdA) Degree in Integrative Counselling prepares graduates to practice as professional counsellors, meeting the application requirements for full membership of the BACP (MBACP status) and resources those who are aiming for future personal accreditation with the BACP.

With a relational ethos, based upon contemporary integrative practice, this programme is exciting, vocationally relevant and has a clear focus on up-to-date counselling theory and practice.

This live online course presentation, presented by our course lead, will cover all aspects of our Foundation (FdA) Degree in Integrative Counselling training, followed by a Q&A session for any unanswered questions you may have.

The course is a fast-tracked 2-year study route to begin your practice as a counsellor with a professional degree qualification. Obtaining a degree level qualification also allows the counsellors to be able to charge more per session.

Please note: The above course requires physical attendance in Exeter and/or Poole. We warmly and actively welcome people from all nationalities at our college; however, please note that we are not a licensed Tier 4 sponsor, and therefore we are not legally permitted to offer a place to international students who would require a Tier 4 visa.

Format:

20-minute presentation, followed by Q&A session

Caroline Barrett

Course Tutor : Foundation Degree (FdA) in Integrative Counselling

Caroline's work as a Doula and an interest in supporting people through life transitions led her to complete the Foundation degree in Integrative Counselling at Iron Mill College.

She went on to develop her engagement with research, gaining a BSc in Counselling and a MSc at Bristol University in the Psychology of Education whilst maintaining a keen focus on how this can be practically applied to support Client's wellbeing within her own research studies.

Caroline has previously worked within NHS settings and is currently in private practice in Exeter and Online, with a focus on clients seeking change and those experiencing anxiety and depression. Her position as Co-Chair of Taunton Association of Psychotherapists enables her to engage with a broad range of Speakers and fellow professionals in the area of Counselling and Psychotherapy as part of her desire to engage in ongoing learning.

Qualifications: MSc and MBACP.
