Robin Shohet - Fear, Love and Vulnerability in Coaching

We are thrilled to bring Robin Shohet to our Animas Symposium private dining and talk experience.

Join Robin for what will be a stimulating evening of discussion, ideas and connections as he shares his thoughts and work around fear, love and vulnerability in coaching and supervision.

Robin will cover such topics as fear of failure, being willing to make and learn from mistakes, allowing oneself to be truly not knowing, and even loving our clients.

As a coach, therapist and supervisor for over 40 years, Robin has long wondered how we can bring more of our humanity to our work and how the desire to look professional blocks our ability to use ourselves as an instrument of change.

Robin Shohet is the author of many books on supervision, including Passionate Supervision (2007) and is co-author of the seminal training text for supervisors Supervision in the Helping Professions (with Peter Hawkins).

He is co-founder of the Centre for Supervision and Team Development (www.cstdlondon.co.ukand has supervised for over forty years.

About Animas Symposia

Combining a three course meal and wine/soft drink with a great guest speaker, Animas Sympoisa are a fun, yet serious, attempt to recreate the original ancient Greek origins of the Symposium (dinner) best typified by Plato's classic work in which Socrates, Alcibiades, Aristophanes and others, indulge their passion for philosophy and they enjoy their appetite for wining and dining.

The symposia are wonderful opportunities to meet and eat with likeminded coaching colleagues and those working in this space.  As well as giving a fabulous opportunity to hear from leading-lights in the field, it's also a simply an amazing chance to break bread and drink wine with people who share your passion for our profession.
