An Introduction to SALSA

An overview

The SALSA Standard is an approval scheme that helps local and regional food and drink producers to supply their goods to national and regional buyers. Attend this workshop to gain an introduction to the standard and identify how to ensure your business is able to achieve SALSA.

This workshop is being delivered by The Food and Drink Forum’s technical team and will provide an introduction to the benefits of the SALSA Accreditation and how your business can identify and implement changes to obtain/ continue to obtain SALSA.

Aim

To introduce delegates to the SALSA Standard Approval Scheme and how achieving this standard can benefit their business.

Who Should Attend?

Individuals involved with implementing SALSA within their business.

Businesses/ Individuals who are looking at achieving the SALSA Standard for their business.

Individuals in SALSA accredited businesses who are not currently involved in its implementation.

Cost: Free of Charge (non attendance maybe charged)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this fully-funded course, you must meet the small business eligiblity criteria, set out in the booking form.

  • You must have a food or drink manufacturing business based in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or the South East Midlands

  • You must employ less than 250 employees

  • You must have an annual turnover of less than €50million, and an annual balance sheet of less than €43million

  • You must be predominantly operating Business-to-Business (B2B)


The FEAST2 project is receiving up to £2million of funding from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
