An overview of the key areas of the latest SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) Issue 5 Update

This short session will be delivered by The Food & Drink Forum’s food technical team who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in food technical.

Aim

To provide delegates with limited prior knowledge of food technical an overview of the key areas and considerations of the latest SALSA Issue 5 Update.


Objectives

The SALSA Standard has been revised and Issue 5, published in June, contains a number of key changes which will be auditable from 3rd September 2018. Attend this workshop to ensure your business is able to continue to achieve SALSA accreditation. This workshop is being delivered by The Food and Drink Forum’s technical team and will outline the benefits of the SALSA Standard and how the changes to requirements within Issue 5 will affect your business and how to identify and implement these changes to obtain/ continue to obtain SALSA accreditation.


Who Should Attend?

Appropriate for those individuals involved with implementing the SALSA accreditation within their business. Businesses/ Individuals who are looking at achieving SALSA accreditation for their business. Businesses who already have the SALSA standard but would like to understand the changes.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this fully-funded course, you must meet the small business eligiblity criteria, set out in the booking form.

  • You must have a food or drink manufacturing business based in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or the South East Midlands

  • You must employ less than 250 employees

  • You must have an annual turnover of less than €50million, and an annual balance sheet of less than €43million

  • You must be predominantly operating Business-to-Business (B2B)
