Details of The Pitch Presentations
There will be four pitches running through the evening carefully selected by our Vice Chair Frank Guinn, head of the Screening Team to ensure a good selection for all investor appetites.
Market Sector: Parental Control.
Parents struggle to manage their children’s screen time, almost every day.Recent studies have recommended that children under two, should not be exposed to screens at all and those above this age should be limited to two hours per day. Effects of over exposure have been linked to bad behaviour, being distracted and childhood obesity. This Company’s system provides a ground breaking tool which enables parents to remotely manage their children’s screen time from a smart phone, tablet or web browser. It is the only fully cross-platform app that can control iOS, Android, Amazon devices and Windows PC’s.
Market sector: - aerosol products
The company supplies a wide range of aerosol valves and other aerosol components, as well as their new, revolutionary Eco-Valve. Their new range are new aerosol valves specifically designed to enable aerosols to be propelled successfully by harmless gases such as Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide or simply Compressed Air.The company has been formed to commercialise the ‘Bubbly FLow’ technology developed and patented by the Spray Research Group (SRG) at the University of Salford, in the UK.
NB this replaces the previously advertised presentation on Building and construction - self-contained modular structures who are now unable to present.
Market sector – Consumer products and services.
5M homes in the UK have pitched roofs with loft space that could be utilised for living accommodation. Most households want to use this space but historically, loft access has been unpleasant and problematic. Existing loft steps are bulky, difficult to use and fit. Automatic loft access is unaffordable. This Company’s patented automatic loft access, can be fitted in existing loft hatches with no alternations and Is affordable for all. In the move to automation, the Company is ahead of the curve. Push button loft access is to become the norm for all, enhancing the trend toward automated ‘smart’ homes, and targeting the need for space in ever smaller homes.
Market sector – Social Care.
People with Learning Disabilities struggle to achieve tasks that we take for granted such as cooking meals, cleaning their home and understanding literature such as posters. Providing the support they rightly deserve costs the Local Authority £16 per hour. Their solution to this problem costs just 5p per hour and works 24/7.
