February Networking + Search engine optimisation fundamentals
Event Information
About this Event
Are you finding yourself with some extra time to brush up on some business essentials or are you fantasising about all the things you'll do once the kids are back at school? Either way, SEO is one of those things that we should all know a little more about and work a little more on.
This month's meeting will give you the know how to optimise your website and internet presence to build on strong foundations in 2021.
Locate the spot with the best wifi connection, wear something comfy, bring a festive beverage, a mince pie and get a dose of inspiration and support from your fellow business clubbers.
**Note the earlier start time of 19:00 - we're just all too tired to start a zoom call at 20:00, so we're trying this earlier time. You can always join a bit later, or have your video turned off if you're still sorting out kids or eating your dinner**
Our expert talk this month will be delivered by Claire Icel from Cicel Marketing
Here's what to expect from Claire's talk:
Hear from marketing consultant, Claire, about the essential steps you can take to make sure your website is optimised for search engines. You'll learn why it's important to do this, basic tools to use, and what to prioritise for your business, as well as a chance for questions. Expect to come away with simple steps to improve your search ranking. Sorry in advance for adding to your 'to-do' list!
About Claire:
Claire Icel is a local marketing consultant who works with small businesses to solve their marketing pain points. A little bit more info about the meetings:
Obviously an online meeting will be a little different - no swapping of business cards and hugs for starters! After a few months of practice, we're really getting the hang of it though and it's just so darn nice to see everyone.
There'll be an opportunity to talk about your business at the start of the meeting - this is entirely voluntary though. The idea is to get to know each other's businesses and be able to learn from each other, as well as help each other. So you'll be invited to introduce yourself and your business, share something to celebrate as well as how you help others and let us know how we can help you. Collaborations, connections, questions - we're here to help!
After some mingling and getting to know each other, we then have our expert talk, followed by a Q&A. We'll then break off into smaller breakout rooms to discuss the talk and be in a better position to chat and make closer connections. If there's someone you'd like to be in a breakout room with, let me know and I can make sure that happens. Once again, this is totally voluntary and your free to not participate in the smaller group discussions.
We aim to finish our meet ups by 9pm with a big old virtual hug (and then spend another hour or so writing to do lists and calming down from the excitement...).
