February Weave and Breathe (2) - woven bunting

We’re the Coddiwomplers—also known as Mrs B and Fidler—two willow weavers based in the South Norfolk, UK. Coddiwomple means ‘to travel in a purposeful manner towards an as-yet unknown destination’ which sums up many of our walks and various adventures through life.

We’d love to welcome you to our monthly willow-weaving classes for adults, where the focus is on fun, creativity, and a sense of wellbeing as we explore traditional basketry skills together. Each month brings a brand-new project—anything from birdfeeders to festive Christmas decorations. Come every month or just drop in whenever it suits you.
In February's workshop, we'll be using flat weave, to create bunting flags.
We'll bring along a range of willow varieties so that you can create stripes, or make each flag a different colour. We'll also provide pre formed frames, so all you need to do is weave!
There will be time to make at least 6 flags (probably more) to take home and string up.

All tools and materials are provided, along with plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits, and of course, Mr F’s legendary jokes.

Bun with a variety so you can create stripes or make fly frame so all you need to do is weave be make at least six flags probably more to take and string up and that was all me but what I do is try and type it the best I possibly come first is that my glasses just got knocked off now I've sat on them today and bent them all out of shape and I've tried to put them back but is the metal but
Thompson Community Hall is a modern building with good parking, facilities and accessibilty.

Doors open at 6:30pm, and we’ll aim to start weaving by 6:45pm. We hope to see you there!
