Join us at this meeting to discuss how we work together locally to address issues of hunger and food waste
Food is essential to us all. In recent years we have seen increasing numbers of people in our communities struggle to access good food cheaply and easily. We know people are going hungry. We know people don’t always know how to prepare food well or have the money to cook it.
In response there has been immense generosity of local people in responding to this need via foodbanks, hot food provision, community supermarkets and pay as you feel cafes. Communities are growing their own food. People are sharing cooking skills. Initiatives to reduce food waste and distribute excess food continue to grow. Opportunities to use food as a way of bringing people together to address isolation are found across our District.
We want to bring together all of those who want to help feed Bradford, to share ideas and identify joined up ways of working, so that hunger and food waste are no longer issues in our communities.
