Event description

Description

Electricity can be really dangerous so how do we manage to use it every day? Join the Ri's Dan Plane to witness some of the earliest demos that ever showed how electricity can be used and harnessed, developed by two of the Royal Institution’s most famous scientists Faraday and Davy. This electrifying family show includes lots of live demos showcasing static electricity, generators and how magnetism and electricity work together.

This event is particularly suitable for ages 7+.

Discounted tickets are available to Members of the Ri. Find out more about how to join our community.

The doors will open at approximately 1.30pm, with a prompt start at 2.00pm. There will be time for questions after the talk.

Latecomers may be admitted to the gallery.

By booking to attend events at the Royal Institution, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Ri's event terms and conditions.
