Interdisciplinary conference at the University of Sheffield on the the embodied, emotional and affective dynamics of class.

About this Event

This free one-day conference brings together scholars from sociology, geography, history, literary studies and criminology to discuss the embodied, emotional and affective dynamics of social class. Twelve papers are clustered around three sessions: Stigmatising places and bodies; Emotions of home and housing; Affective and creative resistances and solidarities. Topics range across trauma, stigma, love, laughter, solidarity, politics and migrant experiences.
