Event description

Description

On Thursday 18th April 2019 we are hosting an invitation-only corporate reception with wine and buffet in the Simpson’s Room at the Fludyer Arms Hotel. Now in its seventh year, Felixstowe Book Festival is a thriving charity event made possible by its patrons and sponsors and we would love to get even more local businesses involved.

Last year more than 1,000 tickets were sold and this year we expect to exceed that number.

How would my company benefit from involvement?

The Felixstowe Book Festival is now one of the most important events in Suffolk’s calendar. This year the amount of pre-publicity will be significant as the Festival is benefiting from the assistance of the New Wolsey Theatre and a PR professional. Aside from editorial in Suffolk Magazine and the East Anglian Daily Times, there will be Radio Suffolk interviews, advertising on Facebook and Google and blogs on the Book Festival and Suffolk Coast website.

There will also be regular email newsletters and leafleting, with 15,000 programmes being distributed across East Anglia in the run-up to the Festival. Your logo will be displayed prominently on Festival publicity material and you will have the opportunity to sponsor specific events where you can promote your firm and have your staff and important clients attend.

What's the Festival all about?

Our Festival offers a diverse literary programme including authors’ events in four Felixstowe venues, and a “pop up” Festival on the seafront, at our historic Fort and Museum, and on the two rivers which border the town. This year there will also be a special package of writing workshops - being promoted to writing groups nationally - to attract aspiring writers to the Festival.

This years speakers include: Alan Johnston, Alison Weir, Prue Leith, Andrew Monaghan, Simon Heffer and Anna Freud. We will also be welcoming Chris Gribble, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Writing, and Michelle Emmerson-Grey, Head of Communications at the New Wolsey Theatre.

We look forward to welcoming you to our reception!
