Summer Weekend Events 2025 Launch with headliner Jazzie B - DJ set and events across town on 15-17 August

Jazzie B, the double Grammy Award winning founder of Soul II Soul, and Aswad, Britain's biggest reggae act, are to headline two new Felixstowe Loves events this summer; on 15-17 August and 6-7 September.

Two new cultural weekends launch this summer in the Suffolk seaside resort of Felixstowe. Featuring live music and DJs, art, family activities and food and drink stalls, events take place across town and on the sea front.

Most of the weekend events are free to attend, but some events, such as the Jazzie B DJ set in August and Aswad Live in September, need attendees to register for tickets for audience management reasons. Jazzie B - DJ Set on Saturday 16 August, Beach Street.

August's headliner Jazzie B, founder and frontman of Soul II Soul, needs no introduction. Creator of genre defining chart and club hits, such as Back To Life and Keep On Movin', and winner of two Grammys, he was the first Sound System sound man to be awarded an OBE. He was requested to present James Brown with a Lifetime Achievement award by James Brown himself. Jazzie was awarded the Ivor Novello Award for inspiration; which described him as "the man who gave British black music a soul of its own". We're mega excited to have him playing a beach front DJ set to kick-off the new Felixstowe Loves weekends this summer.

In addition to Jazzie B playing, there are activities taking place across the town over the weekend, with events starting at The Triangle at Midday with the East Angles - the funkiest brass band this side of the water - Live music and DJ sets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Beachside Event Space, Beach Street, The Alex and The Shed, Lindsey Franklin's popular Beachside Yoga and Movemenet at 10 am on both Saturday and Sunday, art stalls, workshops, art trails across the whole town, the Wall of Hearts community art installation and the RBL's VJ Day celebrations at The Triangle all day Saturday.
