Would you like to gain recognition as a fellow or senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA)?
The University has a supported continuous professional development (CPD) scheme that leads to associate fellowship, fellowship and senior fellowship of the HEA. If you already have teaching experience or qualifications for teaching in other sectors you may be able to apply for fellowship.
Professor Tansy Jessop of the Solent Learning and Teaching Institute is running a series of two hour workshops for both senior fellowship and fellowship participants to provide extra help and guidance in completing your application.
To be eligible to apply for fellowship, you must have taught for two years, with at least one of these years having been in higher education. You must also be teaching at level 4 or above. We would expect that you have some pedagogic knowledge as your application must be evidenced by such references. This could come from study on a different teaching qualification such as PTLLS, or your attendance at teaching and learning events at Solent or elsewhere.
