Vocations Evening
About this event
Every quarter you can come together with others who are working out what God's call means to them. This would usually take place at the Diocesan Office, but currently the events are taking place online.
The Fellowship will be joined by the Director of Church Revitalisation - Revd Jude Smith:
Any of us considering our vocation to any and all forms of ministry in the Church of England are committing ourselves to publicly lead in mission. Whether in workplace witness, incarnated presence, street preaching, litter picking, offering dignity to the least dignified, and encouraging others to do the same we are offered endless ways to get involved in God’s mission in the world.
With so much that we can do, how do we engage in mission in a way that is sustainable and life giving? How do our churches, with our limited resources, do what we can and not what we can’t.
That is where strategic mission can be a real aid to the life of the church. In this session we will take some time to talk through what strategic mission looks like, how we can plan for it without trying to dictate to God and how we can get others involved in mission.
This Event will take place on Zoom.
FAQs
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The best way to get to the event is to take public transport. There are some pay and display parking spaces outside the venue and we do have some limited parking in the underground carpark but these spaces do need to be booked in advance by contacting the vocations team.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No need at all. It just helps us have a pre-printed register we can use for fire safety purposes.
Can I update my registration information?
Any time!
